Mnuchin: US-China trade call to take place this week

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin told reporters Monday U.S. and Chinese officials will have another “principal-level” call this week.

This will be the second time negotiators have spoken since President Trump and Chinese president Xi agreed to restart talks.

Mnuchin says if the call goes well, he and U.S. Trade
Representative Robert Lighthizer may travel to Beijing for trade negotiations.

These comments come after Trump complained last week that China has
let the U.S. down by not buying more ag products. After the G-20 summit, Trump
said China agreed to buy “tremendous amounts” of U.S. food and ag products.
